Ignatius Teliga. Ohio Circa 1850. Ancestory.com does show some type of

Telliga 1847-1927

Jerome Teliga (only one "L") shows up in a number of census and civil
war records.

I found only a single reference to Ignatius Teliga. He is apparently
listed in a publication:

MOCHA, FRANK, editor.
Poles in America: Bicentennial Essays
Stevens Point, Wis.: Worzalla Publishing Co., 1978. 203p.

I do not have access to this book, so I don't know the actual nature
of the listing (it may just be as a name on a passenger list,
however).

Is there anything else you can tell us about Ignatius that may help to
pinpoint any of his records?

Sandusky, Erie Co., OH) married Hannah Jenny Spieth (b. 6 MAR 1849
Liverpool Twp., Medina Co., OH / d. 11 NOV 1941 Riverside Cemetery,
Defiance, OH)

Their children were

Harry Clay Telliga (b. 3 OCT 1881 Ohio / d. MAY 1964 Indiana)

Carl H. Telliga (b. 23 AUG 1883 Ohio / d. APR 1972 Roanoke Rapids, Halifax Co., NC)

Bertha Irene Telliga

Roy W. Telliga (b. 5 MAR 1891 Defiance Co., OH / d. JAN 1985 Clio,
Genesee Co., MI)

No mention of who Jerome?s parents were or the parents/date of birth
for Ignatius (L.) Teliga.

According to Ancestry.com, Ignatius immigrated to America between 1830
and 1840. Pafalafa is correct in that Ignatius L. Teliga is listed
in ?Poles in America: Bicentennial Essays? written by Frank Mocha.
(Worzalla Publishing Co., 1978. 203p. Ignatius is listed on page 90).
I was not able to find any sites that had this book online.
