From what book or other publication did the following idea come: "The
5 R's of writing are Ruminate, Rapid-write, Retreat, Revise, Rewrite"
It was quoted in a library writing group as if it came from Natalie
Goldberg's book _Writing Down
the Bones_, but an Amazon search of the full text of that book and
Peter Elbow's _Writing with Power_ and _Writing Without Teachers_
turned up no hits for "ruminate." I did find one minor reference on
Google--
"Take cues from the five Rs of writing - ruminate, rapid-write,
retreat, revise, rewrite."
