Hello. I am looking for more information on specifics involving the
relationship between Depression (and/or Psychological Disorders) and
Sleeping Disorders. I have been diagnosed at a previous point with
Depression (and what my psychologist called Deferred PTSD) and I fit
all of the criteria for Delayed Sleep-Phase Syndrome. So much that I
dont ever go to sleep before 2 am. Must sleep 8 hours to feel ok, and
so rarely can get out of bed before noon unless absolutely necessary.
I tend to have REM type dreams towards the end of my cycle. I
remember my dreams. but only vaguely.
I am only interested in alternative health treatments such as vitamins
or light etc for treatment. I have read some good stuff on on Vitamin
B-12 for DSPS.

I want to understand more about REM latency.
What is it?
What is involved in the normal and abnormal sleep cycle of nonREM and REM sleep
Any recommendations of booksare appreciated. If you would like to
post information on journals this is great too, but i'd rather you
only mention this if you've actaully read the article, since most
medjournals you have to pay at least $20 to access the article, and
i'd rather not waste my money if its not what i'm looking for.

What alt health/vitamin recommendations or information that have shown
to be helpful in regulating this.

p.s. I hope this is a sufficient price, I am poor so this is all I can
offer at this time. Thanks in advance.:)
