Been trying to set up dns servers on godaddy for a dedicated server ? windows 2003.
The test websites are finally working.
We parked the domains, used total dns control panel, and used godaddys
name servers.
So the websites work.
To get the email working we:
Put MX records in the total dns control panel the domain
Configured email accounts with user names and passwords in MailEnable administrator
However, although we can now log into webmail and receive email from
anywhere, we can only send from one domain on the dedicated server to
another.
Trying to send to an address that isn?t on the dedicated server
results in delay messages.
MailEnable: Message delivery has been delayed.
Message is waiting at macinc.net for delivery to sdi-nm.com.
Reason: Mail Server for sdi-nm.com could not be contacted at this
time. MailEnable will keep trying to deliver this message and will
notify you of any progress.

The dns address in smpt properties are the same as those configured
for dns in the server.
In the MailEnable diagnostics in the section for smpt outbound status
test we get error that state ? ?The socket connection to the remote
host failed. The Host was either not contactable or it rejected your
connection.?
We also get:
Web Application Configuration Test
WebMail does not appear to be correctly configured as a Virtual
Directory under IIS. Please see MailEnable Professional Edition.
WebAdmin does not appear to be correctly configured as a Virtual
Directory under IIS. Please see MailEnable Professional Edition.
We need a step by step on how to set up the email, so we can figure
out what we?ve missed and how to fix it. |
