My company wants to migrate from the Windows E-mail Server VOP-MAIL
(www.vircom.com) to a new Linux Server which runs Plesk, sendmail,
Spam-Assasin, etc. We can easily create new e-mail accounts on the new
Linux server and point the DNS MX record to the new server. However,
we are looking for an elegant solution to move the existing e-mails on
the Windows server to the new server without direct end-user
intervention.

Further, we have around 10 different domains. On the Windows server
these domains have their own linked IP address, but on the Linux box
they will be virtualy hosted.

Depends if your mail server uses mailbos or maildir format, and what
mail server are u going to use in linux, I recomend to use
POSTFIX+POSTGRESQL+COURIER, after install that, u only have to copy
the files containing mails to the selected place for the mail storage
in the linux server

You should determine the format your windows server uses to store
mail. Please let us know.

Does the linux server offer IMAP? If this is the case, it would
probably be rather simple using an e-mail client (pull from POP, push
with IMAP)
