Hello jlaperch-ga,

With the help of the various comments below I?ve been able to identify
that your picture was taken at Stockholm?s Royal Dramatic Theater
(Kungliga Dramatiska Teatern) but I have no idea where you can find it
again. Will you accept the identification of the locale as the full
answer? I suggest that you post a separate question to see if someone
can find the exact picture you?re trying to find again. I look forward
to your clarification.

It would help if we could see the picture. Can you post a link?

This has got to be a joke. You want us to tell you where you
downloaded a picture that you don't have? Now that's a toughy.

Bear in mind that there is no really useful info from which to state
an answer. That said, based on the architecture that is visible, the
vegetation, and an enhanced view of the menu that is in the far lower
right portion of the picture(the menu appears to be in Cyrilic) I
would guess that the picture was taken in Greece or another Eastern
Mediteranean area. Hope that helps some.

my1976stingray-ga,

You can read that menu!!! How the heck did you enhance it to the point
of making out the alphabet? Inquiring minds want to know.

The partially-obscured blue banner might have Hebrew letters on it.

I can't read the menu either. The flag on the right seems to have
read and green or maybe orange and green. Interbus is global. I was
first thinking Cannes, France based on the picture of the guy in the
tux and the vertical flag that may say Festival. I've been looking
for the gold statue, but to no avail. It's obviously European based
on the architecture, liscence plates and all the wine.

lets start,

this is NOT israel:

 1. the text on the menu is aligned to the left with prices on the
right. hebrew is right to left.

2. the logo on the coca cola bottle is in english, not hebrew.

3. the blue banner by the picture of the guy says "festival" in english.

4. those lights do not exist in israel

4. that place does not exist in israel (believe me)

the light, amount of water, architecture (including street light, and
copper roof on right below balcony) are all northen european in
appearence.

the tour boat above the bus is of a type i know to be used in
stockholm, maybe also used in amsterdam and paris.

i also seem to remember the lights themselves from sweden although i
could be mistaken about that.

"interbus", in one form or another, does exist all over the world but
notice the resemblence of the logos in the following pictures:
http://www.interbus.se/english/busses/index.asp?mainid=223&subid=0&subsubid=0

my guess would be northern europe with a high probability - sweden.

that's as far as i could take it, so where exactly it was taken i can't say.

good luck!

Very good, Amok69. One of the pictures down this site shows the large
gilt Lanterns

http://images.google.de/imgres?imgurl=http://homepage.mac.com/juggle5/travel/Stockholm/Opera_Detail_small.jpg&imgrefurl=http://homepage.mac.com/juggle5/travel/Stockholm/Stockholm1.html&h=387&w=252&sz=45&tbnid=ykXM6tnGDLQJ:&tbnh=118&tbnw=77&hl=de&start=7&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dstockholm%2Bopera%26hl%3Dde%26lr%3D%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official_s%26sa%3DG

I found it with a search for Stockholm opera if you can't paste the string.
Look for the mac.com undertitle, because the photo is not the thumbnail.

Jlaberch, that should be close enough for you to remember now, I hope.

Myoarin
