In 1989 I was given a tape recording with a song on it that moved me. I have no idea of when the song was actually recorded and the friend who gave me the tape has passed away. I wrote part of the lyrics down in a journal and eventually lost the tape. I want to know the name and artist of this song. Below you will find part of the lyrics as I had transcribed them (I am sure they are very close but may not be perfect). Thank you. I?ve looked everywhere I could just to find a clue, oh, to get to you. To make you want me, and I?ve run circles round the sun chasing after you, but its no use. Can?t you see that I?m, going out of my mind, trying to find a way to get through to you. Oh, you don?t know how hard I?ve tried. And I?ve tried. Tried to get through to you. I?ve searched high and low just to find a clue, What have I got to do? Do I have to have to steal puddles from the moon. Is that what I got to do? To make you love me. Make you love me? Do I have to throw the sand into the sea? To make you see me? |

Hello mschaelling: The song you are referring to is called "Water From the Moon" and was composed by Diane Warren. The lyrics can be found here: Water From The Moon URL: http://www.celinespeedpage.de/songtexte/water_from_the_moon.htm However, this song was copyrighted in 1992, and first performed by Celine Dion on her self-titled album, "Celine Dion". Celine Dion URL: http://www.celinedion.com/celinedion/english/music.cgi?album_id=4 I'm not sure how you could have gotten a copy of it in 1989. Are you sure you have your dates right? Search Strategy (on Google): * "round the sun" "chasing after you" * "water from the moon" * "celine dion" discography * "water from the moon" "Diane Warren" * REALSONGS water moon websearcher |
