I need a list of countries bombed by the United States since the end
of World War II. It would be helpful if the information included the
amount of ordinance dropped and the frequency of the bombing, but not
necessary to my study. I'm willing to pay $25.00 for the entire
information requested. Marty

Here is a comprehensive list (the current action in Iraq will need to
be added, of course):

"COUNTRIES BOMBED BY THE UNITED STATES SINCE THE END OF WORLD WAR II:

China 1945-46
Korea and China 1950-53 (Korean War)
Guatemala 1954
Indonesia 1958
Cuba 1959-1961
Guatemala 1960
Congo 1964
Peru 1965
Laos 1964-73
Vietnam 1961-73 (Vietnam War)
Cambodia 1969-70
Guatemala 1967-69
Grenada 1983
Lebanon 1983, 1984 (both Lebanese and Syrian targets)
Libya 1986
El Salvador 1980s
Nicaragua 1980s
Iran 1987
Panama 1989
Kuwait 1991 (Iraqi Targets)
Iraq 1991-
Somalia 1993
Bosnia 1994, 1995 (Bosnian Serb Targets)

A similar (but not identical) list which was compiled by historian
William Blum may be found here:

http://www.human-net.org/war-issue/en/facts/usabomb.htm

I was not able to locate a prefabricated list which includes the
amount of ordinance dropped and the frequency of bombing. While such a
list could undoubtedly be prepared, it would be very time-consuming,
since it would essentially involve a couple of dozen separate research
projects (one for each item on the list posted above).

I'll be glad to repost this information as your official answer if it
meets your needs. I look forward to your response.

Thanks for the list. I had it but lost it and think tanks don't
manufacture this list any longer. I first found it at
http://www.cato.org

For the full $25.00 I'd very much like either the amount of ordinance
dropped or the frequency of bombing. I'd consider paying more to get
both. What do you have in mind? -Marty

I'm leaving your question unlocked in hopes that another Researcher
will be able to provide what you need. As I mentioned, unless a
prefabricated list can be found that includes the detailed info that
you're seeking, this is likely to be a very time-consuming task. If
you don't get an answer right away, you may want to consider raising
your fee.

Just keeping the peace, folks! That is only about 1/8 of countries in the world.
An overseas American's surprised response.
