EDUCATOR TO PROVIDE RENAISSANCE EDUCATION FOR 5 CHILDREN

I AM SEEKING a person who enjoys both learning and educating. I have a
rare job available. It involves the supplemental education of 5
children (they go to school). The objective is to help them excel in
school, in addition to providing a supplemental "renaissance (world
history, science, art)" curriculum.

The job is based in Europe and includes world travel to historical
sites during select school breaks. The sole function of this position
is education, child care is already provided for.

This will be a rare person who loves to BOTH learn and educate.
Reliability will be essential as will well documented credentials and
references. The compensation will not be an issue.

The question is; how do I go about finding such an individual, other
than through the traditional services.

What a wonderful offer and a wonderful opportunity for someone!
A "Hauslehrer" in the tradition of the grand tour.
I am trying to brainstorm a little, better done in dialog.
Educational background: liberal arts, with emphasis on arts or
languages (in so far as they suggest an interest in other cultures).
Age:  BA grad (but then with experience with children, from a big family);
      Or unemployed teacher with the right interests;
      Or younger retired teacher with ditto,
      Or unemployed theologian (on my maybe mistaken idea that they have
         broader cultural interests).

What else?
What time commitment do you expect: 1, 2, 5 years?
Male, female?

Where does one seek such a person?
Here on GA you can only get suggestions because of the anonymity.
Oxbridge and equivalent places (Royal College of Art in London); using
all your contacts and connections, museums with trainee programs,
people enrolled in art study programs with Christie's or Southeby's
-or the like. Young persons working in such auction houses, who may
be well educated in arts and cultures, but discovered that there are
not many good jobs around for that.

Enough, the monologe :-) Lucky kids!
