EMS = Emergency Medical Services. In the US that represents three
different levels of ambulance (from simple transport to trauma).
Police = all county, town, city, and regional focres (e.g., in
Germany, there are 16 states with each having their own police force,
a super-state police force and then special criminal forces) and fire.
In the US FD are broken into public and private, ~35,000 of them and
that will be very different from each country, each having their own
structure. The numbers, structure and relationships are desired here.

I usually give generous tips for solid research work, BTW.

Hello cshl-ga,

I think you'll have much better luck if you post a separate question
for each country. That way several researchers can be working on your
question at the same time. It also makes it more likely that you will
get an answer. As posted, if a researcher can't answer just one part
of your question they will not post an answer. Good luck.

Ouch. Excellent point. Let me see if I can figure out a way of pricing
it so that on a per-country basis somebody would still be willing to
spend any time doing it or some other mechanism to prorate answers.
