The president of the Uited States and his staff are trapped in a snow
storm and end up in a roadside resturant.  There is tension in the
middle east and while he is there missles are launched towards the US.
There is a fight in the resturant to prevent a launch by the president
of our missles.  The president stays calm through all this.  In the
end the missles don't reach the US, they turn back on their own. We
then find out that the French are providing computers and software to
the middle east government. Which we supplied the French. The French
and the US have a plan to supply the equipment with a "fail safe"
feature. That feature is, in the event of a launch on the US the
missles, after a pre set time will return to the launching country,
and do their thing. One Hell of a Movie, and I forgot it's name..

is suddenly snowed in and he and his entourage are forced to take
shelter in a small diner. Of course, the group completely take over

(Clotilde Courau). Also in the diner is a local redneck (Sean Astin)
and a married couple. Suddenly, the movie moves into a suspense film
as the President learns that Iraq has invaded Kuwait and slaughtered
hundreds of American soldiers. Setting up temporary communications,
the President announces that he will launch a nuclear attack on Iraq
immediately if the country does not withdraw. Iraq reacts that they
have 23 nuclear missiles trained on the US that they are ready to
launch. Tensions mount with the involved civilians offering a
different viewpoint to the President from the normal opinions of his
advisors."
