Dear keelly-ga, I'm sorry it is not until now that I can answer your question. The answer came from a source who has been on holiday. Via a contact, the question was put to Christopher Wood, art dealer and author who specializes in the Victorian Period. He is an acknowledged expert on the Pre-Raphaelites. He did not know the models name and indicated that in fact it appeared to be a standard type face which was used by the artist and did not represent a particluar model. answerfinder-ga |
