The deduction for Medical and Dental expenses from Schedule A of the
Federal return is the excess over 7.5% of your adjusted gross income
and that appears on line 4 of Schedule A. That number is deductible on
Massachusetts Form 1 on line 2e. of the Massachusetts Residents Income
Tax Return. Schedule Y line 5 of the Massachusetts return allows
deduction for Self-employed health insurance deduction as well as
Medical savings account deductions.
