The traditional background for laboratory technologists was as varied
as one year of technical training beyong h.s. to as demanding as a
B.S. in biology/chemistry/medical technology.

The field today is in transition. Between technical advances and
reduction of staff at medical facilities, quality lab staff positions
are scare. And often involve 2nd/3rd shift scheduling ay large
hospitals.

Get into a stem cell research lab, its a new field and should be booming :-)
