Hi Tom,
If you are sure the book is a novel, then this won't be it:

BN00072 Quelch, Eileen PERFECT DARLING The Life and Times of
George Cornwallis West Cecil and Amelia Wolff 1972 Hard cover.
Biography of the handsome and charismatic George Cornwallis West,
husband of Lady Randolph Churchill and Mrs Patrick Campbell,
stepfather to Winston Churchill, brother of Daisy, Princess of Pless
and Constance, Duchess of Westminster. A life lived at the very heart
of Edwardian High Society. Ex-library, but only one stamp on title
page, no others we can see. Small inscription on blank endpaper,
otherwsie very good copy in very good d/w (d/w a little rubbed at
edges). Hard to find. £12.00 Currently out of stock

Interesting site of biographies, if you like that. They lived lives
that could have been from novels.

Myoarin:
Yes, I saw that author's name earlier. But I was told that the name
Amelia Wolff is the character's name. It is somewhat of a challenge by
a friend to see if I can find out who it is. Any help would be greatly
appreciated!
Thanks,
Tom

Yeah, Tom, I misundestood the entry, and I think Cecil and Amelia
Wolff have written several books together and that their name is
correctly spelled "Woolf".

So, I was all wrong. :-(
