I have vouchers from a flight being delayed overnight that I can't
use, but wondered if it is possible to trade them with someone who
might have vouchers that I could use. Are their any sites that offer
this? I've been on ebay and know I could give them as a gift if I sell
something with them, however, I'd prefer to find a site with a
bulletin board or another form that I might be able to match what my
needs are with someone else. Any advice?

Hi Lizabiz, Afraid you'll have major difficulty with trading airline
vouchers. I deal with many of the top airlines and you'll find that
these compensation vouchers are generally linked to your original
flight tickets. I suggest you appeal to the airlines good nature
directly and see if they'll extend the validity of the vouchers. I've
done this in the past for folks and ocassionally you gets results.
I've been helping folks with this sort of problem for 18 years now.

Hi,

Many airlines refer to these vouchers as "Miscellaneous Charges
Orders" (or MCO's) ...sometimes they're also called "Transportation
Credit Vouchers"
Transferrability of MCO's depends on the rules of the airline who
issued them, some do allow it, some do not. I suspect it might be
worth calling the airline's 800 number first and just ask what the
rules are, but don't give them too much information about not being
able to use them! There's a good website / Forum that has 100's of
thousands of members called FlyerTalk, where many people trade things
like this, upgrade certificates, 1st Class Lounge Passes, hotel &
rental car freebies etc. and most 'traders' are more than happy to
trade one airlines certificates for another airline/hotel/car rental.
Note: It is NOT a marketplace ? buying and selling of any item is not
allowed...'trading amongst friends' is encouraged, however. Keep in
mind that all such trading is to be for travel-related
certs/vouchers/passes however.

You'll find the main board of the Forum here:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=374

You'll need to register (free) and then go to the specific airline's
section to start your (barter). There is another section of FlyerTalk
forums called "Coupon Connection", specifically geared to trading such
things, but unfortunately it is reserved for members with many posts.

Good luck with it. Contact me for more info if required.
