Hi mick_healy!!

I do not understand what are you requesting on this question. The
three companies that you listed bring the following services (from the
english version of Disprofarma site):
"Services:
Disprofarma is a trading and logistics service company which operates
by consignment and mandate. As consignee, Disprofarma is responsible
for the storage and custody of the labs´ products, including those in
quarantine period, until sold and delivered to customers. Besides,
Disprofarma represents labs in the trading of products, completing the
whole cycle: sale - invoicing - preparation - delivery - collection of
payments - payment to the customer lab. As *Mandataria, Disprofarma
operates by order and on behalf of labs and under these labs´ command.
Therefore, each lab fixes its own prices, discounts, terms of trading
and sales budget; giving instructions to Disprofarma in order to
develop the business. (* Body which
represents and performs businesses on other's behalf)
The lab outsources its trading operations and logistics to
Disprofarma, therefore it is releasing its own funds and getting:
More free time for its sales force,
More synergy due to economies of scale in the sale and distribution
of medicinal products and,
More efficiency in sales operations and in collection of payments.
Regarding processes Disprofarma performs the following tasks:
Reception and storage of products in our warehouses
Storage in cold storage locks for products requiring controlled temperatures
The taking out of an insurance policy on stocks and transport
 Preparation and delivery of orders.
Urgent delivery of products within 24 or 48 hours all over the country.
Follow ups by production lot /series number
Sales to wholesalers, pharmacies and Medical institutions (public
hospitals and private healthcare institutions) through Club-D system
or sales force.
 Sales administration: invoicing, current accounts.
 Collection of payments management
Generación de información estadística para planeamiento comercial
Supply of detailed statistical information for commercial planning
 Demand forecast
 Automatic invoicing to institutions
 Daily assistance to urgent orders
Management of returned products and restocking of products
Management of free medical samples for the sales force
Advisory assistance on business transactions "

corner of the page:

So taking into account the services provided by these companies, can
you clarify this question for me, with hypothetical examples if you
consider this a good idea?
Note that I am not an specialist in this topic so I need more clear
guidance to can help you.

Thank you.

Well, the 3 distributors (lets call them A, B and C) mentioned are 3
different distributors. So, I was wondering if there are smaller
distributors who buys from these 3 distribitors and re-distribute.

So, maybe there are companies out there who can deliver all products
from company A, B and C - instead of having to get 1 shipment from
company A, a shipment from company B and a 3rd shipment from company
C...

Hi!!

According to my research, and there are no source that can be showed
here, there are not companies that are you request. But there are some
companies that distributes medicines from all manufacturers and they
do businesses with the main distributors and in some cases directly
with the manufacturer.
These companies carries the medicines to pharmacies and can act as
intermediaries or as direct distributors, depending the agreement that
each one has with the manufacturer. These companies are wholesalers
and are called Droguerias, are you interested in these firms, in the
affirmative I will give you a list of them in the answer section.

Hi!!

Confirmed!!
The Droguerias are intermediaries and carry medicines from the main
distributors to the pharmacies and in some cases directly from
laboratories, they are the wholesalers.
If you have a pharmacy here in Buenos Aires and you need a supplier
you must contact a Drogueria.
Farmanet S.A., Disprofarma S.A., and Rofina S.A.I.C.F. in few cases
act as intermediaries, but this is not the rule in this industry here,
they are the big wholesalers for the droguerias which are the
wholesalers for pharmacies.
I confirmed this via a phone call to Droguerias del Sud (unfortunately
they cannot give me a list for wholesale prices, but I will clarify
this point in such question).

The four major droguerias are:

DROGUERIA DEL SUD S.A.
HUMBERTO Iº 1868 (1229)
Ciudad Autonoma de Buenos Aires - Argentina
Tel: (54-11) 4309-9100
Fax: (54-11) 4304-5140/6294
E-Mail: drogueriadelsud@drogdelsud.com.ar
http://www.drogueriadelsud.com.ar/

DROGUERIA MONROE-AMERICANA S.A. (also known as Drogueria Americana)
Moreno 2047/65 (C1094ABE)
Moreno 2053 - (C1094ABD)
Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires - Argentina
Tel: (54-11) 4959-4800
Email: info@monroeamericana.com.ar
http://www.monroeamericana.com.ar/html/principal.htm

DROGUERIA BARRACAS S.A.
Av. Brasil 2947/59 (C1260AAL)
Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires - Argentina
Tel: (54-11) 4943-9100
e-mail: computos@drogueriabarracas.com.ar
http://www.drogbarracas.com.ar/

DROGUERIA SUIZO ARGENTINA S.A.
GABRIEL ARDOINO 514 (1704)
RAMOS MEJIA (Prov. de Bs. As.)
Tel: (54-11) 4469-6000/4654-6821
e-mail: mordenes@drogueriasuizo.com.ar
http://200.80.204.70/suizo/main.htm

Here is a list of Droguerias for the entire country, if you are
interested only in the City of Buenos Aires see only the ones located
(Localidad) in CAPITAL FEDERAL. There are some of them that work in
the metro area of the city but are located in "Prov. de Bs. As.",
these ones has a phone number that starts with a number 4, the others
ones located in "Prov. de Bs. As." have a phone number that starts
with zero:
"Listado de Droguerías de todo el País" from the FACAF (Federación
Argentina de Cámaras de Farmacias) site:
http://www.facaf.org.ar/main/utiles/droguerias/drog_txt.htm

Here is another list from "Guia Comercial Clarin" (Clarin Commercial
Guide) for the city of Buenos Aires:
http://www.guia.clarin.com/guiasprod/Guiaclarin/clientes.jsp?action=res&codtema=33&codrubro=842&cliente=&codprov=1&optrubro=

For example the suppliers for Farmacias Zona Vital are:
DROGUERIA MONROE-AMERICANA, DROGUERIA DEL SUD, and DROGUERIA
SUIZO-BARRACAS (Drogueria Suizo Argentina + Drogueria Barracas):

I hope that this helps you. Feel free to use the clarification feature
as needed if you think that this answer is incomplete and need an
improvement.

Hi!!

I note that guillermo-ga has answered your $100 question. But I want
to tell you that I found the requested wholesale prices for a
particular single pharmacy (the amount of money that the pharmacy pays
to the drogueria for the medicines). The prices that I found are
different than the ones found by guillermo, but note that the prices
vary from one pharmacy to another (the wholesale prices for a single
pharmacy are different than the wholesale prices for a chain of
pharmacies); in other words the profit margin vary from one pharmacy
to another, according to its agreement status with the drogueria. If
you are interested in what I found please let me know and I will post
the list. I am not sure if you want to post another question for my
answer (in this case I will receive a payment for the research), or I
can post it here as a clarification or may be you prefer the list
posted in the $100 question as a comment. In both cases you will not
be charged for my research on that topic.

Regards.

Great answer, Flores. Thanks.

I note your comment on the prices and though I am sure that your
prices are more accurate than the answer given by the other
reasearcher then it will suffice. Keep up the good work.
