My cousin lives at 84-16 Lefferts Blvd, Kew Gardens, NY.  There was a
house, owned by a family by the name of Baker, that stood in the same
location before my cousin's home was built in 1964.  Can you tell me
any history of the house, the Baker family and where I can find
pictures of it.  I'm not sure when it was built, but it was definitely
taken down when my cousins house was built on the same property.  Any
ideas?  Thanks very much.

I'd start with the County Records, some of which may be available
online, others will be on microfilm.

If I searched correctly, the residence is in Queens County, and if the
house was built before 1939, the County has a picture of it:
