I am planning on quiting my job and withdrawing membership from my union. I am a member of the electrical workers union, IBEW local 441, Santa Ana, Ca. I would like to know what the correct procedure would be for an official withdrawl of membership e.g., a written letter, phone call, in person. I'm sure that there are certain bylaws that would need to be observed so that I cover all my basis. I am also wondering how I can go about obtaining my pension funds. Thank you. | |

williamcartwright, Thanks for letting me know the information I provided was what you needed. Here it is again, in the Answer Box: I called the union for you, they said you need to call them directly and request an "Application To Withdraw" be mailed to you. At that time, you should also ask about the procedure to claim your pension funds. They won't give any information to third parties. IBEW Local 441 (714) 939-3131 And I wish you the best of Luck! ~~Cynthia |
