I am trying to locate the First Federal Savings And Loan Association
Of Davenport, Davenport, Iowa. They evidently are no longer in
business. Who can I contact concerning A Certificate Of Deposit issued
by them?

All of the First Federal Savings And Loan Association banks in Iowa
appear to have gone through quite a convoluted history:

acquired by:

First Bank, Federal Savings Bank
505 Second Avenue North
Fargo,ND 58102

which was then acquired by:

First Bank National Association
601 Second Avenue South
Minneapolis,MN 55402

which was then acquired by:

U.S. Bank National Association
601 Second Avenue South
Minneapolis,MN 55402

which is currently owned by:

U.S. Bank National Association
425 Walnut Street
Cincinnati,OH 45202

The history is important, in case the person you contact at USBNA only
has access to the first tier of acquisitions.

I couldn't confirm with 100% certainty that the Davenport bank was
part of the above package, so please let me know how this works out.

The phone number for the US BANK branch in Davenport (201 W. 2nd St.)
is (563) 328-3100, but I assume that the Cincinnati office has
probably already referred you to that number. Hope you are able to
find out where this CD is so you can get your money!
