Hello whitefeather-ga,

Researchers are reluctant to try to answer questions that ask for
"all" of anything since you can never be sure that you've found it
all. Could you rephrase your question in a way that can be easily
quantified and judged as acceptable? As a new poster to Google Answers
I suggest that you review the following links so that you can guage
what type of research you can expect for the price you've set. Good
luck.

Hello there,

I'd like to ask some additional clarification, if you don't mind.

1. It would help to have a bit more information on Edwin Hopper -- a
middle name, dates when he lived and worked, what sort of photography
he did, where he lived, and so on...any additional information would
help.

2. You said you wanted an article "put on Google's web site". I dont
understand this...What do you mean by that?

Thanks,

pafalafa-ga

Hello again whitefeather-ga,

Your clarification helped a lot. I think I understand what you?re
after. Your father was a well-known and published photographer. You
believe that there were articles written about him (by him?) that
might be available on the Web that should show up in a Google search.
Searching for <?Edwin Hopper? photographer> does not come up with any
hits.

Please tell me more about your father ? a mini biography would be very
helpful. When and where was he born? Where did he work? Where was his
work published? Did he exhibit his photographs? Was his work included
in any books or other publications? Can you tell me more about the
articles that you know were published about him? The more details you
can give me about your father?s life and work, the greater the
likelihood that I will be able to find something online about him.

I look forward to your clarification.

Art Review: Edwin Hopper And Urban Realism
A new exhibit explores impressionist-inspired takes on "the new modern
urban reality."

Nov 25, 2003, 05:00 am PST

Contributed by David Gest

Works by Edwin Hopper and eight other post-impressionists focus on the
gritty reality of urban life. Hopper's "The El Station...uses loose,
deft brushwork...He creates a strong feeling of fleeting motion
through the diagonal lines of the track that cut across the bottom of
the composition...Trains provided the painters with the perfect
setting to explore an intimate situation in very public places." One
painting explores voyeurism in the public environment on trains.
Another uses the "juxtaposition of intense areas of color with the
sepias and umbers of the city grime [to give] a sense of the vitality
and vigor of the city...[Raphael Soyer?s] crowded compositions mimic
the claustrophobic proximity of people in urban settings. Not only are
[the characters in the painting] confronted by their desire to get
away from someone so 'other,' but so are we."
