I am taking a vacation next week and wanted to check the weather so
that I am prepared and pack the right clothes. However, after checking
3 online weather sites, I am simply frustrated and confused. One says
sun, the other rain, and another list temperatures which are 10
degrees higher than the other two.

Where can I find the most accurate weather reports online?

Could you tell us where are you travelling to? This info would help us

Thank you.

Ah! I will be in Truckee, California. However, I would like to find a
resource that provides accurate weather for all Cities in the US, but
the West Coast is where I spend most of my time.

Thank You!!

No weather forecast is going to be 100% accurate all the time, as I'm
sure you know, but the National Weather Service is usually more
reliable than the local television station or commercial services.
You can check that out here: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/

Ok. But I noticed it only lists a few cities for California for example.

Thanks for your help...

I just found your question. You might want to check
http://www.forecastadvisor.com It is a free service of the weather
forecast accuracy and validation company I founded, ForecastWatch
(http://www.forecastwatch.com).

There are many ways to measure accuracy, but ForecastAdvisor looks at
one- to three-day out high and low temperature forecasts as well as
precipitation forecasts. Here is the direct link to Truckee, CA:
http://www.forecastadvisor.com/California/Truckee/96162

ForecastAdvisor verifies forecast accuracy against over 800 U.S.
locations, and currently validates forecasts from Accuweather
(http://www.accuweather.com), CustomWeather
(http://www.myforecast.com), Intellicast (http://www.intellicast.com),
The Weather Channel (http://www.weather.com), and the National Weather
Service (http://www.weather.gov).

Hope this helps!

That's pretty cool! Do you measure your site's accuracy as well?
