I have heard that some philosophies in life sugest that we humans will
only find enlightenment and true peace when we stop asking questions
we have no need of asking - a great irony that it is only by stopping
asking these incessant questions that we will find the answers that we
seek - sources please on these ideas

I don't mean asking questions of others, I mean asking spiritual and
"meaing of life" type questions of ourselves

I agree with waukon-ga. This sounds like propoganda from a communist
or fascist country like old age Russia and Italy and modern China.
Asking questions used to be seen as a obstacle to reaching 'Socialist
Paradise' especially if the questions were asked about the govt, its
ideals and its beliefs.
