I want to identify a male US comedian I heard on defconradio about 6 weeks ago.

His style seemed to me a lot like Bill Hicks (it wasn't him). One of
the few bits of the routine that I remember had him describing getting
extraordinarily drunk, falling asleep in a motel room (after setting
the alarm to something that "wasn't even a time") then waking up
extremely confused by someone banging on his door demanding that he
answer his phone, which wasn't ringing.

There were also a lot of Pope/Bush jokes, and he clearly had similar
views to Hicks on some issues.

Sorry I can't recall more, but it was extremely funny. Provide a list
of possibles if this isn't enough to be 90% sure.
