I have been reading a lot about the private investigator business and
understand the general components of having success with it.
Additionally, I have there are so many companies out there that simply
will do anything to sell any information to anyone, just as long as
they are making money.

Well I thought I could be a breath of fresh air on the internet. As a
hobby and a small side business, I am thinking of starting a PI Firm,
but I just am missing a few components to take me to the next level.

I have contacted my local authorities and understand the requirements
and legal paperwork, fees, etc. that have to be done. I also
understand the rules and regulations of the business, etc.

I do not understand or know where these PI firm get their information
from. For example, if someone is looking for call records, or a cell
phone password, email password, archived incoming/outgoing calls, etc.
I am not quite sure what types of databases they have access to.
Furthermore, one licensed as a PI, obviously that would grant access
to these avenues, but without knowing what they are, I do not even
know where to go.

Basically, I can get my license, I can register with the state, I can
have a website designed, I can rent an office building and start
advertising my services; but it is those exact services that I must
understand completely how to provide, who to contact, how to get the
information and exactly how to deliver it to the customer.

Do not send me to any PI sites or any general sites where they claim
to provide such services. I am not looking to resell information. I am
looking to actually be able to capture and provide the information
directly from the source to me, and then from me to the client.

PLEASE HELP. Thank you.
