Just to be clear, did you restart your computer after installing Hotburn?

Hi again, ronyrana-ga...

I checked under the FAQ for Hotburn, and located this page
which deals with the system hanging while using Hotburn:
http://www.iomega.com/support/documents/11127.html

"What should I do if my system hangs while using the
IomegaŽ HotBurnŽ or HotBurn Pro™ software?"

"Your system may hang or freeze while using the IomegaŽ HotBurnŽ or
HotBurn Pro™ software if your CD-RW firmware is not up to date. Please
contact your CD-RW manufacturer for information on available firmware
updates.

You may also experience system problems if the IDE Bus Mastering
drivers for your CD-RW drive are old or corrupt, which can cause the
driver to incorrectly enable DMA. Please contact your computer
manufacturer or the IDE card manufacturer for information about
updated drivers. If an updated driver is not available or does not
correct this problem, disabling DMA for your CD-RW drive may help.
Please use the following steps to disable DMA for your CD-RW drive."

"Windows 2000/XP

Click Start, Settings and Control Panel.

Double-click the System icon.

Click the Hardware tab.

Click the Device Manager tab.

Click the plus (+) sign next to IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers.

Double-click the Primary IDE Channel or Secondary IDE Channel icon
where your CD-RW drive is located.

Click the Advanced Settings tab.

Under Device 0 (master) or Device 1 (slave), depending on where your
CD-RW drive is located, select 'PIO Only' from the drop-down box next
to Transfer Mode.

Click OK."

If this resolves your problem, and you wish to close the question,
post a clarification or comment here, and I will post this response
as an answer. Otherwise, best of luck in resolving the difficulty.
