I am looking for videos (or DVDs or 16mm film or ANY way of viewing) several of the "Once Upon a Classic" shows that aired in the late 1970s, hosted by Bill Bixby. I am particularly interested in "The Prince and the Pauper" and "Robin Hood". These shows don't seem to exist. I've exhausted all my usual search routes. Can anyone find them for me? |

"Once Upon a Classic" was produced by WQED, the public television station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. WQED also produced "Mister Rogers" "Wonderworks" and "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" "Once Upon a Classic isn't listed in their video offerings (http://www.wqed.org/genl/shop/index.shtml) but an email to shop@wqed.org might give you the answer you are looking for. I hope this helps. - dplee123 Search Terms "Once upon a classic" ://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=DVXA,DVXA:2005-19,DVXA:en&q=%22once+upon+a+classic%22 This brought me to a record in the Internet Movie Database. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0214361/ WQED is listed in the company credits. |

I'll try them, but I think I already asked them a few years ago. I was hoping perhaps for an original source in the UK, where I assume these series were actually produced. |
