Hi
Looking for a list that can be downloaded that has the general
emotional definition of words. For example "Birth" has a postive
definition whereas "murder" has a negative view. Not looking for thw
webseter definition but if the word gives a positive or negative
feeling to.

Hi Ralph_job-ga,

It's going to be impossible to find a list with every word and it's
"feeling". However, I have found a list that identifies 300 positive
and negative connotation words from reviewing music articles, along
with a lot more information. Some of the links on the site are broken,
but there is an email contact if something you needed was a dead link.
It was last modified on Thursday, June 10, 2004.

Let me know if this would work for you.

ralph,

There's an interesting "reverse definition" tool available at:

http://www.onelook.com/reverse-dictionary.shtml

Try typing the words [ bad feeling ] into the search box, and take a
look at the list that resutls. Of course, you can do the same with [
good feeling ].

It's far from perfect, since the relations can be both similar to --
or oppostie from -- the key words you choose. Still, it's a cool
tool.

Let me know if that helps you out, at all.

I looked that the reverse lookup site and does not seem to be an
emotional dictionary. It is a a cool site but does not conive if the
word is positive or negative
and regard to 300 words. That count is a little on the low side for my needs
