I am looking for US (specifically CA, TX, OK, TN, KY, AL, GA, SC, NC,
VA and mre that I don't know about yet - that is broad enough to
generalize to the US as a whole I think) and European information.

ancestry.com is not to be taken seriously, inasmuch as the stuff they
publish is not reliable.

I have a dead Confederate GGG-grandfather buried on a hill in Kentuky,
and his boy who fought alongside him and survived to make a gg or ggg
grandson, 4-star general of the Air Force and Congressional Gold Medal
General Ira Clarence Eaker, my 6th cousin.
