if you are not employed by the government or do not belong to a union
, any employer in just about any country can fire you when they like
and for any reason they like (Period full stop).
The only issue that remains is how much redundancy , termination ,
severance pay you are entitled to.
Seek the advice of a GOOD lawyer i.e. that is one who specialises in
employment law and represents sacked employees.
Only when there are enough lawsuits against employers will they start
to smarten up and not sack people for any old reason.
Or when people begin to form meaningful and powerful unions/work associations/
syndicates which can negotiate with the current management structures on an
even and fair basis.
