Question ID: 52987
I am interested in purchasing a replica of any world series ring
because of its bulky, large size. Any professional team is okay,
keeping in mind that the bulkier the ring (very wide with a lot of
height to it) the better. The ring can be 10K or 14K gold. My ring
size is a men's 9. I am most interested in a ring that allows one to
select the color stone one wants. Specifically, I would like a world
series ring with a topaz stone, if possible.

Will any other type work? If so, please see comment.

Any replica of a professional champion type ring will work if it is
the extremely bulky type. The rings in the sites you suggested were
not the very large bulky type that I have seen on TV. They look like
college rings only much bigger.

Greetings! There is an online store meeting much of your criteria but
is still not exactly what you want. And you must order a minimum of
five rings to personalize them.

The store is Jewelry Box Online and they offer sports jewelry in bulky
rings. They offer personalized championship rings:

"Championship Ring Collection - Great Designs For All Teams:
Six different team rings available for your championship - Two options
available for each ring, diamond tube set or #1 - All rings available
in 14kt, 10 kt, Yellow Gold and White Gold, Lustrium - Full name or
initial engraving on the inside of the rings - Minimum order of 5
rings"

They also offer a Mets ring and a Yankees ring but not World Series
and other sports teams' rings (football etc). One of their offerings
might satisfy your needs because the rings are bulky and sporty.
Plus, they may make replicas but not advertise them so you might
contact them to see if they could make you your desired ring.
However, it may be cost prohibitive.

From a site I found called GraceCollector:

"Grace finally got a World Series ring in 2001, and now I have mine.
This is a replica of the rings given to Arizona's players and coaches,
without the diamonds. It was a giveaway at Bank One Ballpark on April
2, 2002. It's a nicely detailed, metal ring. 30,000 were given away at
the promotion."

On an Ebay search for "world series rings baseball" turned up a few,
one being an Arizone Diamondbacks ring but it is not precious metal.
However, the aution ends in a little over one hour (Ends Aug-10-02
13:06:01 PDT) so hurry if you want that one.

If you feel my answer is acceptable, please contact Google and ask
them to credit me with the fee. However, because I couldn't locate
exactly what you needed, I have posted this as a comment. Good luck!

this is an easy answer. you want a custom jeweler. most "jewelers"
nowadays simply sell jewelry that someone else makes. which in my
book, makes them salespeople, not jewelers. in any case, the wealthy
have always had things made from scratch, then the "mold" broken.

This is the master jeweler that my family uses. simply find a photo
of a ring you want and email it to him and he'll give you a price and
make the ring from scratch. mind you, it's not going to be cheap. if
you're looking to spend a hundred bucks, go to merlite.com and buy
some cheap costume jewelry (10k) and pray that no one notices that
your finger is green around the "world series" ring.
