I am looking for research on the light fixture industryin the Unites
States. I have oppurtunity to import light fixtures from Eurpoe. It
seems to me
that the designs employed in the fixtures in Europe are more advanced
than the lights here. 
I want answers to the following points/questions?
1:Is the light fixture market in the USA over saturated?
2:Do stores like Office Max, Staples and even the large stores like
Home Depot or Costco buy directly from Asia or do they use
distributers?
3:What is the general consumer and professional opinion with regard to
the light fixture offering that exisits in the USA? What I mean to ask
is, is there a lacking in the current market whether in terms of
design or technology?
4:Generally has Europe been a leader or lagger with regards to
advancement in the lighting industry in comparison to the United States?
5:Are there any chain stores(companies with 10 or more stores) devoted
entirely to light fixtures?
Any other helpful information will be well compensated for.
