I am reviewing the Buena Vista, Colorado, Comprehensive Plan. I would
like to find quality plans from other towns of similar size, 2,000 to 10,000
people, and similar environment to compare with, preferably in the
last 5 years or so. Buena Vista is a small mountain town with an
economy focused on tourism and mining. I would also like some
information on writing comprehensive plans. Please provide websites,
not libarary/book references.

The Town of Mammoth Lakes is a ski resort town in the Sierra Nevada
mountains of California, population 7500, altitude 8000, main industry
tourism. Their General Plan was released in 2004.

However, I can't say whether it's a "quality plan" or not.
Does that suit?

No that does not work. It is not a comprehensive plan. I have found
numerous plans in Colorado, they are not hard to find. I was really
just hoping for some help locating more plans to compare with and some
guidelines for writing comprehensive/master plans.

This one's about as comprehensive as they come, at 300+ pages,
although it's for a bigger town than Buena Vista:

Still, does this help, or is it too far removed from a Colorado-type town?

It is for a much bigger town with differnt growth and managment issues
but I am sure they have some good ideas in it. Can you find about 10
more comprehensive/master plans that I can compare with? I find that
if you pick a city of about the same size, 2,000 to 10,000, you can
search under the cities name for comprehensive master plan (sometimes
in their governments planning department) and find their plan.

Thanks
