Where I can get the best deal on buying the set of all the "Asterix" comic-
books (English) that have been published so far? I would prefer paper-back 
editions to hard-bound. I also prefer individual books to a book containing 
mutliple stories.

It seems that the best deals are on Amazon. You can either search Amazon for 
Asterix, or go to this site for a complete list of books (when you click on 
items, you get forwarded to Amazon):

Also, to make sure you didn't miss any books, you can go to as

and click on "Editeurs..." on the left, and then on "Liste des albums" on top 
of the page. You'll probably be able to figure out what the titles are even if

if you have difficulties finding certain books of the set you can try 
www.chapitre.com it's a french network of bookshop specialized in 
finding "rare" books. moreover they have develloped the equivalent in the us 
with more than 2000 bookshops i've givent it a try with the name of the 
author "goscinny" and it works pretty well ( 150 answers in the us)
