What website can provide me with an accredited online liberal arts degree. I currently am working in New Jersey and do not have regular free hours to take normal classes. I am trying to find a reputable website where I can get an acredited liberal arts online degree. | |

Dear Berndan, There are many accerdited programs that would suit you (and no, "degree mills" are not only not-accredited, but also a shame. The following list would include "real" places that offer such opportunities): Excelsior College - Associate in Liberal Arts <https://www.excelsior.edu/portal/page?_pageid=57,71513&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL> Coastline Community College <http://dl.ccc.cccd.edu/general/earnaadegree.htm> (General information at: <http://dl.ccc.cccd.edu/>). Louis and Clark State College <http://www.lcsc.edu/dl/degrees.htm> Sinclair Community College <http://www.sinclair.edu/index.cfm> (the programme is at <http://www.sinclair.edu/academics/dis/pub/distance/DLDegreesLAS.pdf>). Thomas Edison State College (NJ) <http://www.tesc.edu/> The site DegreeInfo.com offers some advice (in their forums) for people who would like to discuss distance education: DegreeInfo forums <http://forums.degreeinfo.com/> Unfortunately, their excellent tool of choosing an associate degree for yourself is unavailable right now, but I still recommend it. It might be available later, granting you the oppotunity to seek more schools than the ones I've given you: Find a School <http://search.degreeinfo.com/> I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need any clarification on this answer before you rate it. |

You can also search for a specific online class or degree program at http://www.cvc.edu/catalog/. What is nice about this is that you can specify key words, level of study, and/or delivery format. For example: AA Degree, liberal arts, online only. There are several other search links available at http://learn.berkeley.edu/html/alliances.html. Also, if you're interested in picking up a few online courses for transfer credits, I have found those offered at UC Berkeley to be among the best I've ever taken. You can browse their online catalog at http://explore.berkeley.edu/UCExt/default.asp. |
