I've been trying to remember the name of this one for quite some time.
It had two disturbing scenes that left a gruesome impression. One
was of a middle-aged woman who got cooked in a fireplace chimney. As
memory serves me, she was drawn to investigate something (perhaps by
voices) got stuck, and the fire lit and cooked her. Another equally
appalling scene was of a woman raped by a demon. I thought the title
had 'witch' in it somewhere and I'm guessing it was made in the mid
70's to, possibly the early 80's. Anyone know the name of the movie?
Thanks!

Hi teknokat,

I'm not sure if this is it, but it's got demons, voices, a middle-aged
woman, and a chimney...

It must be "Witchery" (1988), as byll11-ga states in his comment
below. The movie is also known as "Witchcraft", "La Casa 4",
"Ghosthouse 2", and stars David Hasselhoff and Linda Blair.

You can read about the plot here:
http://www.braineater.com/house/casa4.html

The two scenes you remember:

"The crusty-mouthed demon ceremonially rapes Leslie, while cutaways
show her writhing alone on her bed in the hotel.
(...)
Rose reawakens in the Real World only to find herself, lips sewn
together, stuffed upside-down in a chimney. Unable to scream or call
for help, she hears her husband announce his intention of starting a
fire in the fireplace... Curious how the chimney fails to draw
particularly well once the fire is lit. Oh well: after a little while,
the current of air improves, and the smoke goes more easily up the
chimney. It's odd, given the general tackiness level of the goings-on
so far, that nobody seems to notice the smell of something cooking
around the chimney. At least we get to see what's starting to drip in
the flue."
