Hi Armagh,
I was hoping someone better informed would try to help you with your good cause.
I don't know about England, but in other countries organisations
supporting sports teams usually do it in the form of sponsoring -
advertising. They want their name visible to the public, in the big
time, on TV. The same applies on the local and youth level, where the
visibility is, of course, much, much less, but the companies get a
public relations benefit in the community that can be worthwhile.

So, what kind of advertising space can you offer? Jerseys. If your
club has a football pitch with fixed rails on the sidelines, signs
there (probably not the case). Nothing else occurs to me at the
moment.

Local sponsoring might be just assuming the costs of the jerseys, but
that is something, and the sponsor should get as much PR benefit as
possible: press photo of the manager presenting them to the club and
kids, and mention whenever possible, also being sure that the
sponsor's name is visible if the local paper prints a photo.

Maybe a sporting goods store would donate balls, again with as much
publicity as possible.

Who do you want for sponsors?  Well, no brewers or distillers;
companies selling to parents, banks, the prominent local major
employer. You or someone with the best contacts is going to have to
recruit them. If there is a Rotary Club or other such service
organisation, presenting your request to the group could (maybe)
create a little competition to help.

Are you from Armagh? Then this site could be of interest, and maybe
also if your are not - by suggesting how another community supports
sports:

Thanks Myoarin the club have gone down the run of sponsors advertising
which is just being renew for the new season. I was hoping some one
might know some companies, charitable or commercial that is well known
for their donations.
i guess the only way is to apply to every trust and company and take
my chances for the football club. The primary purpose of the grants
are to help develop an all weather pitch hopefully astro turf and to
improve and develop
The grounds plus employ 1 or two coaches on a full time basis to help
bring on the kids

Sounds more "up-market" than I envisioned. My suggestions were aimed
a little below what your club has already achieved.
But I may be wrong; maybe there are donors beyond my feeling for the "market".

One last thought: a larger organisation just coming into the area
with an office or store might find sponsoring a good way to show its
interest in the community.
(Maybe they could have their name imprinted along the sidelines in the astroturf.)

Good luck, Myoarin
