(In other words, it sounds like a text is referring to two works by
Silver Burdett Ginn from 1995, which the author labels "1995a" and
"1995b".)

If so, is there a bibliography in the text?  Does it list Silver
Burdett Ginn works from 1995?

Even if you do not have the text from which you obtained these
references, do you know the name of the text?  Do you know the author,
publisher, and/or publication date of the text?

there is very little description of the book on that page, but this
may be a start.
