Were searching for a manufacturer of a 6mm dia gear head motor that
has plastic gears. These motors were used in the old Pagers, before
they converted to just a DC motor without the gearhead. A picture of
the motor can be seen if you email me directly and I'll send it to
you. We belive it is made in Asia somewhere. |

That link did not work, you can see the motor at this address
http://www.hobbyengineering.com/SectionM.html#CatMM
part way donw the page, its part 1705. These guys and many more are
just the retailer of it, and of course they will not disclose their
distributor, and the distributor will not disclose the manufacturer.
Hope this helps

The main distributor is Solarbotics Inc. I gather you already know
this, and are trying to find the source? So far I have not been able
to determine where they originate from, but I am still looking. Can
you tell me if there any markings on the motor or any of its
components? Any details might be useful.

I dont recomned talking to solarbotics since and they will not tell
you the source anyway since they control all distribution in north
america for them and certainly dont want to give valuable info away,
we cannot buy from them since we need a design change to the motor
that can only be done by the manufacturer.
No there are no markings on the motor or inside it.
