To Mr. Theoracleofdelphi-ga, you did a good job answering what friend told you about the plasmid. Here is another important question i need to ask you. It involve operons. Doing any part of purifying a protein(CYTOCHROME C)or any part of the protein, will a lac-operon, tryptophan operon, or any of the operons be involve in any way. I really want to know. Ted. |

Ted: this question suggests you need to take a couple of introductory courses in genetics and cell biology. Until you have a good grounding in these areas, trying to work on protein purification schemes is not likely to be fruitful. |

An operon is a regulatory concept, not a protein. So isolating proteins will not yield an operon. Your question is like asking whether collecting cars will yield traffic laws. |
