To Mr. Theoracleofdelphi-ga, you did a good job answering what friend
told you about the plasmid. Here is another important question i need
to ask you. It involve operons. Doing any part of purifying a
protein(CYTOCHROME C)or any part of the protein, will a lac-operon,
tryptophan operon, or any of the operons be involve in any way. I
really want to know.

                         Ted.

Ted: this question suggests you need to take a couple of introductory
courses in genetics and cell biology. Until you have a good grounding
in these areas, trying to work on protein purification schemes is not
likely to be fruitful.

Check out the following books from a library:

Molecular Biology of the Cell, 5th Edition...Alberts et al
Genetics...Hartl and Jones
Cell and Molecular Biology....Karp
and the infamous....Biology....Campbell

They will all be of help to you.

An operon is a regulatory concept, not a protein. So isolating
proteins will not yield an operon.

Your question is like asking whether collecting cars will yield traffic laws.
