Hey all. I'm looking for a good deal on a round-trip flight from Los
Angeles (LAX) to Philadelphia (PHL). Here are the details:

# and Type of Tickets: 2 Coach Tickets
Departure: Friday, July 1st
Return: Tuesday, July 5th
Preferred Times: We do not want to do a red-eye but are otherwise flexible.
Other Preferences: We want the flights to be non-stop. We are
somewhat flexible on the airports and would fly to nearby airports
(less than 30 miles) if the savings were good. We would like to pay
something between $300 and $400 dollars for our flights. I am a AAA
member.

Please let me know if you have any questions or require any additional information.

Thanks!

You will not likely find any deals to get near PHL on the 4th of July
weekend. This will be the weekend when Philly hosts the Live 8
concert which is expected to draw a lot of people to the area. It will
be the only US concert for the tour. I have read several articles
about how almost all of the hotel rooms and airline seats to PHL for
this weekend are already booked.
If you are willing to drive an hour or two, you might want to consider
flying into Baltimore, Allentown, or Newark.

Yeah, that's why I'm going. :)

I scored yesterday and got a really good deal on a hotel downtown for
this time. Might have put the cart before the horse though...

I checked Orbitz this morning and they had published a non-stop fare
on US Airways for $401. I was about to book it and when I tried I was
told that the fare had expired and that the new fare was $536. :(

I would be willing to fly into Baltimore, Allentown or Newark if I
could get a non-stop and if the savings was significant (say $50-$100
cheaper than the comparable flight into Philadelphia).
