I was hoping to find a way to get a copy and play this game on
Windows, or find someone who has an emulator and can easily find and
set-up this game for play. |

I'd like you to try the following. Go to
http://www.simtel.net/product.download.mirrors.php?id=16109
and click on the first download link, "US, Minnesota (HTTP)", to
download the Apple II Oasis for Windows emulator. Open the .zip file
using WinZip or something similar, then run SETUP.EXE to install the
emulator.
If everything is fine so far, download the Odyssey disk file from
http://www.spy.org/zaurus/public/feed/games/apple_II/ftp.apple.asimov.net/pub/apple_II/images/games/adventure/odyssey/odyssey.dsk.gz
and unzip it. Load the disk using Apple II Oasis and start playing! I
hope. I'm not entirely confident that Apple II Oasis will work with
your configuration.
So go ahead, give it a shot, and let me know the results.

Okay, I think I got the emulator to work, but now ow do I load
Odyssey? If i click on the odyssey.dsk file, an emulator screen pops
up and a "]" appears, but no cursor. If I move the file to the
emulator dick images folder and type catalog, I can see the odyssey
menu, but if i run anything I receive a "File Type Mismatch" error.
Soooooo close.

You're right, the Odyssey program fails to load. I got the same
results with a different emulator, so I guess there's some obscure
code in Odyssey that the emulator writers have failed to support. I'm
sorry this didn't work. I know what it's like to have an irrepressible
hankering to play an ancient computer game. By the way, there's a neat
website called virtualapple.com that lets you run many Apple II games
online, right in the browser window. Maybe you'll discover some of
your other old favorites there.

Okay, so I'm guessing that you have given up. I'm sorry with all of
your work we could not find success. I am willing to change my
question: I'm trying to play Ultima IV. But i can figure out how to
change disks. I do not have a disk drive on my computer. Once the
game starts and I go through the opening sequence, it reuests "Place
the Britannia disk in the disk drive and press [ESC]. How can i
accomplish this?

You can just change the price on this question and then let me post an
official answer, if you really think I deserve anything. Or you can
leave this question open and post a new one to my attention. Or you
can just walk away and consider this a freebie.
