My current air conditioner is about to quit. It is a GE CarryCool and I don't think they've made them for years. If I can't find the same one, I need something that weighs the same, only 38 pounds, so I can install it myself. Anything in the 5000-6000 BTU range would be acceptable. Can't find anything like that on the web or in local stores. | |

Thanks again pinkfreud, for the empathy and for the floor-unit suggestion. I had considered that and looked at several models a year ago or more but it just didn't work out. Still, as a last resort, who knows? I'll hope someone comes along with a lightweight unit I can purchase. The current CarryCool is hanging on for now. |
