Question ID: 531556
Is there a way to compile and print my own TV listings everyday?

TV Guide is not enough because it doesn't list all the cable channels
that I can get (e.g. the Science channel). On the other hand, it lists
a lot of channels in which I am NOT interested at all.

So, is there an online source that I could visit and generate TV listings
that are tailored exclusively just for me?

(1) It would ask me where I live.
(2) It would ask me which cable TV company I subscribe to.
(3) It would list ALL the channels that are provided by that cable TV company.
(4) It would allow me to delete the channels in which I am not interested.
(5) It would allow me to save these choices so that I can recall them every day.

(6) Whenever I log in, it would allow me to print today's listings,
including program title and brief description.

I had hoped that TV Guide online would provide these features, but nope.

So, do you know of anything that comes even close to providing what I want?

Take a look at this:
http://www.zango.com/downloads/zangotvtimes.aspx

Let me know if it suits your needs.

To cynthia-ga:

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think I want to use Zango.
First of all, I hate downloading anything onto my computer without
seeing a demo of what it does. Secondly, I have a pop-up blocker, but
Zango will defeat it by introducing pop-ups of its own. (Its FAQ says
that Zango looks at the websites that you visit, and displays ads for
related sites.) It may offer TV listings, but I think it's more of an
advertising tool.

To Pinkfreud-ga:

I haven't had enough time to thoroughly examine the thread you
mentioned in your comment, but it looks promising. So far, the third
hyperlink (can't remember the name) in that thread comes closest to
what I want, but I had trouble printing the results of my customizing.
I will try again later today.

If I don't request clarification before the end of Friday, please post
your answer on Saturday. Thank you!

To Pinkfreud-ga:

I have examined the thread you mentioned in your comment more thoroughly.
That thread references 3 different websites that provide TV listings.

tv.msn.com:
I can't delete channels in which I am not interested.
It does not provide a print feature.

www.excite.com:
I can't delete channels in which I am not interested.
It does not provide a print feature.

tvlistings.zap2it.com:
This site is almost perfect! I can do everything I want.
I can register in order to customize the listings:
Specifically: I can delete channels in which I am not interested!

It even has a print feature! What I do is this:
Specify that only 2 hours are to be listed (e.g. from 8pm to 10pm).
Specify that ALL my channels are to be printed (not just 10 or 20 at a time).

For some reason, most of the color disappears.
The grids are displayed in different colors, according to category
(e.g. sports, movie, news, etc) but, when printed, the grids are in B&W.
  I can live with that.

Thank you, Pinkfreud-ga! Please re-post your comment as an official answer.

Very fast and very helpful answer. I was surprised to learn that
there are so many websites that provide TV listings that are better
than TV Guide.
