Hello, Misterrachel:
Attempting to locate information on Canadian companies can be a
difficult proposition, but there is one central (free) source of
information which often yields the desired result. This is the
"Strategis" website operated by Industry Canada, which maintains
numerous databases pertaining to Canadian business.
In this instance, I located Nova Games in the Corporations Canada
database. Their entry indicates that they were incorporated in 1981,
and began the process of dissolving the corporation in 1987. The
requisite administrative details were finally concluded in 1995.
The database lists three principals for the company: C. Lai-Hing, E.
Prest, and N. Rubin. Contact information for these individuals is no
longer available on the website, but may be obtained by submitting a
written request to the address given at the following link:
http://strategis.ic.gc.ca/cgi-bin/sc_mrksv/corpdir/dataOnline/corpns_re?company_select=1105515#directors
You're looking for the paragraph in red, about halfway down the page.
Alternatively, you may wish to contact the law firm listed as the
company's counsel on this page, dealing with Nova's now-lapsed
trademarks:

Search strategy: I have used the Strategis site on many previous
occasions, and knew that the pertinent information could be found
there. I used the search term "nova games", and specified that the
complete phrase should be used.
This should enable you to make contact, unless the former proprietors
of the company do not wish to be found.
Good luck!
