Hi, I acknowledge that I am not asking for specific legal advice - any
advice or information you offer will not be considered to be specific
legal advice, but just general information.

Question: If I register a currently non-registered TLD (.com) domain
AND register a trademark that is the same, am I then protected from
that domain name being taken over by another company who might claim
to have the same name in another nation?

For example, let's say that I register the trademark "ABC Computer
Systems" and also obtain the domain name "www.abccomputersystems.com",
both in year 2005. Another company (in India let's say) has the name
"ABC Computer Systems" and was incorporated in year 1996. Would they
be able to secure for themselves the TLD "www.abccomputersystems.com",
even though I own a legitimate trademark for that name which was
registered in North America after their company was incorporated? I
tend to think that they could not in such a case force a transfer of
that domain name, but I don't really know for sure.

Any help you could provide regarding this matter would be appreciated!
