I'm filing paperwork to set up a c-corp in Delaware and am now in the
process of filling
out the EIN form on-line. Section 8a asks for "Type of Enity" with one
of options "Corporation" If a corporation, it says "Enter form number
to be filed."

I searched online and found an explanation to enter the income tax
form number to be filed by the entity in the space provided.

How do I know my income tax form number?

Hi formadinocce,

Question:

How do I know my income tax form number?

Answer:

Line 8a?Type of entity.
Corporation.
"This box is for any corporation other than a personal service
corporation. If you check this box, enter the income tax form number
to be filed by the entity in the space provided."

C-Corporations file Form 1120 (or Form 1120-A, see Form 1120
Instructions, "Who May File Form 1120-A").

C Corporation Taxes
"A regular corporation (also known as a C corporation) is taxed as a
separate entity under the tax laws. Income earned by a corporation is
normally taxed at the corporate level... and the corporation must file
a Form 1120 each year to report this income."

any questions, please post a clarification request *before*
closing/rating my answer and I'll be happy to reply.

Thank you,
hummer
