Hi there,
I was looking out of my window in London yesterday (Saturday 11th
June) at about 1pm and saw a British Airways passenger jet flying low
with two RAF fighter jets close by its side, presumably escorting it
in to land at Heathrow airport. I haven't been able to find out what
this was all about- and was wondering whether this is a common
occurance or not. Just curious as I've never seen it before!
Thanks,
Paul

What you saw was part of a government operation that is being
undertaken as a military exercise against possible terrorist threats.
Unfortunatly I am unable to reveal any more details to you.
