I'm looking for a Piezoelectric buzzer for a robot. Any answer should
include all the parts needed such that sound will be produced simply
by passing current through the part or parts, as well as instructions
on how to put the parts together if there is more than one.

Most importantly, the speaker must emit a 1 khz tone.

The price and other specifications of the speaker are of little object.

I have done some research myself, and come up with nothing. One thing
to keep in mind is that BMI Electronics, who does produce the desired
buzzer and whom you may come across in your search, is out of
buisiness.

Happy hunting.

http://www.east-mingtao.com/p01_02.htm TFM03 for the unit. The
company's main site is available, but the US site isn't reachable, ...
Google's cache is only 6/1/05

I don't exactly know how to drive the speaker, but since this is a
comment and not an *answer*, I'll just leave it to someone else to
finish it up.

Hope this helps!

all you nead to do is apply power. if you are wanting to build a
driver it will cost more than buying a preasimbled Pb. if you want to
operate the one you already have you simply have to do is apply an
curent limited alternating curent to it in the frequancy range of
500hz to 20khz
hope this helps
