I am looking for the details of the actual first Weight Watchers Food Program/Plan. This would be from the mid 1960s. I mean what was eaten at each meal, how much, and whatfoods were allowed and not allowed. I want the specifics. I do not need to know anything about the founding of Weight Watchers. |

Hi, Brenda ! Dotti of Dotti's weight loss zone lists the details of a 1972 plan at http://www.dottisweightlosszone.com/WWinfo/old1972ww.html and the Women's and Patients forums at ObGyn.net http://forums.obgyn.net/pcos-diet/PCOS-DIET.0205/0064.html Have a post From: Pat Sonnenstuhl, ARNP, CNM, MS Sat May 25 21:43:27 2002 which reads. "I have all of the WW books, and I think the first stages of the eating plan was farily low carb, especially starchy carbs. I don't think we understood why way back then. " Pat's email address is attached to this post - so you might find an email to her answers your question. Good luck. |

Just as an aside, I vaguely recall that in the late 70s, they used to inject people with horse urine to aid weight loss. |
